At the tournament
Check In
Players must check in at the tournament desk at least 30 min prior to the start of the event.
Warm Up
Players are welcome to warm up on the courts prior to the start of the tournament, or if there is an open court with no match.
Players will get up to 5 minutes of warm up time for their first match of the day and up to 2 minutes of warm up time for any additional matches. Please do not run over these allotted warm up times out of respect for other players, so the tournament can stay on schedule.
Tournament Format
All events will be round robin (some with pools). You can see the specific format, draws and results on pickleballbrackets.com.
For any events that are combined, we will reward medals (1st/2nd/3rd for the original event level.
For example, if you signed up for 3.0 50+ mixed and it is combined with 3.0 60+ mixed, players in both groups will play against each other in the pool and in the medal rounds. The final medals awarded will be separate (e.g., 3.0 50+ mixed players and 3.0 60+ mixed players will get up to 6 medals total).
TOURNAMENT BALLS
Selkirk Pro S1 balls will be provided and available at the registration desk. Players must return balls after each match.
Tournament Rules
Our event will follow USAPA rules (see: https://usapickleball.org/what-is-pickleball/official-rules/). Players may ask any questions they have or report any violations at the tournament desk. The tournament director may use their discretion in interpreting or modifying the USAPA rules to suit the specific scenario and ensure fun/competitive play.
Our tournament directors will not be validating all paddles at the events, but any concerns/violations should be reported by players at the tournament desk. If players have concerns about a delaminated or non-approved paddle, please notify the player before the match (when possible) or come to the tournament desk if play has started. The tournament directors have decided that since this is an amateur only event, we will give players the opportunity to switch paddles (or choose to forfeit) rather than default to a forfeited game as stated in the USAPA rules, especially in light of paddles with an approved stamp that are no longer on the approved list.
Food & Beverages
We will be providing bottles of water and electrolytes at the tournament desk.
On Saturday & Sunday, Ine Cooks4You will be available on-site for food.

Are you allowing Gen 3 paddles at the tournament?
Our event follows USAP rules. Based on USA Pickleball’s statement on June 4, 2024, several Joola paddles did not meet the approved equipment standards, which means the paddles do not comply with USAP rules.
My opponents are using paddles that do not comply with the USAP rules. What should I do?
